Job Description
Provide holistic nursing care to patients with terminal illnesses, focusing on symptom relief and quality of life improvement.
Conduct home visits for continuous assessment and care of palliative patients.
Collaborate with doctors, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
Offer emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
Manage pain and other distressing symptoms related to serious illnesses.
Educate and guide families and caregivers on patient care and coping strategies.
Maintain accurate nursing and medical records in compliance with healthcare standards.
Participate in ongoing education and professional development related to palliative care.
Work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
Job Requirements for Palliative Care Nurse in Singapore
Registered Nurse with a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Singapore Nursing Board.
Minimum Diploma in Nursing with a post-basic certificate or specialization in Palliative Care is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is advantageous
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of recent clinical experience, preferably in Palliative Care, or related specialties.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Compassionate, patient-centric approach with high emotional resilience.
Ability to manage complex care needs and work in diverse healthcare settings including home care.
Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development.
